Recent research has shown that our newcomer youth face risks including isolation, chronic stress, academic difficulties, making friends, social acceptance and cultural shock to name a few. These challenges come as they integrate into their new school and community. Early intervention and effective programming can minimize the effects of a difficult experience.
YMCA Youth Outreach provides quality programming, leadership skills development and volunteer opportunities for newcomer youth between the ages of 13 to 25. Immigrant youth who are at risk, in crisis or experiencing chronic stress are a priority focus.
YMCA Youth Outreach (Ages 13-18 years old)
YMCA Youth Outreach provides various activities for our youth through recreational activities, fun and educational workshops with guest speakers and in-house support system. We help youth gain leadership skills and tailor our activities and events around their needs and interests.

YMCA Young Adult Program (Ages 18-25 years old)
The Young Adult Program is a service that provides immigrant clients navigation support. Youth are connected to the immigrant and youth serving agencies as well as community resources. The program develops new outreach approaches and networks.
