The YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth is governed by a Board of Directors who are members of our community, volunteering their talents and committed to serve on the Board and its Committees. The YMCA Board of Directors hold meetings monthly, scheduled on the last Tuesday of the month with one month off during the summer months. There is at least one joint meeting annually of The YMCA Board of Directors and The YMCA Board of Trustees. The Annual General Meeting is held in the spring.
The Chair for the YMCA Board of Directors also serves as Chair for the YMCA Board of Trustees. The YMCA Board of Trustees are former Directors who continue to support and provide counsel to The YMCA and which meets annually in a joint meeting with The YMCA Board of Directors.
