YMCA Employment Services

For more than 30 years, the YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth has successfully worked with unemployed individuals in community-based settings.

The YMCA provides job training, counselling, skills development and job search assistance to over 4,000 youth and adults each year in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

YMCA Immigrant Programs

YMCA Immigrant Programs and Services help immigrants to Canada settle into their new community and also help the mainstream population understand the issues and barriers newcomers face while adjusting and adapting to a new language, culture, climate and community, while maintaining their own. With funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) our YMCA offers several programs:
