Governance

The YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth is governed by a Board of Directors who are members of our community. Volunteering their talents and commitment to serve on the Board and its Committees, they are currently focused on developing the Shared Vision 2010.

The YMCA Board of Directors hold meetings monthly, scheduled on the last Tuesday of the month with one month off during the summer months. There are also two joint meetings annually of The YMCA Board of Directors and The YMCA Board of Trustees. The Annual General Meeting is held in the spring.

The Chair for The YMCA Board of Directors also serves as Chair for The YMCA Board of Trustees.
